A famous feature of the Victoria Falls is a naturally formed pool known as the Devil's Pool, near the edge of the falls, on the Zambian side. During the drier months of the year (usually between September and December), when the water level of the Zambezi River is low enough, the natural rock walls of the Devil’s Pool come close ... enough to the surface to form a barrier. This barrier stops swimmers being carried away, allows them to lie on the rock lip at the edge of the Devil’s Pool and look right into the 103m chasm of the Falls. For the rest of the year, anyone idiot enough to enter the waters would be instantly swept to their deaths. More information Also don't miss!!!
